FIVE WORDS THAT BROKE MY HEART
I opened my Scriptures this morning for my Bible reading and prayer time, or quiet time, as some call it, I opened to James 1. What came immediately to my mind was that I know James, he’s my brother. I only read the first five words of James 1 which says, “James, a bondservant of Yahweh.” That’s what the New Kings James Version says, but this is what I saw, “Gene, a bondservant of Yahweh.” My heart broke, tears exploded in my eyes, I could read no more. I just cried silently, since my wife was still sleeping, my heart bursting in pain. The silent cry, you’ve been there. All I’ve ever wanted was to be useful to my Creator, to be His servant, His slave, His son, to be a pot in the Master’s hand, molded for His use, not mine. When I saw those words, “Gene, a bondservant of Yahweh”, I was done reading, I was done in as a human being, I was finished with myself before Him. All I could do was sob and try to breathe. I love Him, and now I know again that He loves me.
As I slowly regained my composure, all I could do was intercede for my wife, her children and extended family, for our nation and world. The world as we know it is unraveling before our eyes. America may or may not make it over the next few weeks and months. Yahweh is looking for an American heart of repentance as a nation. I don’t see it, maybe Yahweh can see it, but all I see is a stiff-necked people, similar to what Yahweh described ancient Israel to be. We are finished folks, without repentance and turning back to Yahweh and Yeshua for salvation from ourselves.
Think about it people, just on the abortion issue alone we deserve total annihilation, just on the homosexual issue alone we deserve total destruction, just on the issue of corrupt government alone we deserve to be wiped out, just on the issue of a corrupt and violent populace alone we deserve the death penalty, not to mention corrupt businesses, churches, and families. What about immorality? Let’s not even go there. What about the issue of our drug culture? I mean legal and illegal drugs, we’re a drug-crazed society, to the point that it is mentioned in the Book of Revelation, not once but twice, as one of the sins of the people that THEY DO NOT REPENT OF right up to the moment Yeshua touches down on the Mount of Olives. Revelation 9:21, “And they did not repent of their murders or their (drugs or drug sorceries) sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” Revelation 18:23b, “For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your (drug) sorcery all the nations were deceived.” Of course Revelation 18 is talking about the destruction of mystery Babylon, which many, including myself, believe to be America.
The pharmaceutical industry is driven by demons of witchcraft. Galatians 5:19-21, “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20idolatry, (drug) sorcery (witchcraft in the KJV, same Greek word, pharmakeia), hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of Yahweh.” Harry Potter does not have the corner on this witchcraft market, the drug industry beat him to it by many decades.
The revealed Messiah continues in Revelation 2:18-23, “‘These things says the Son of Yahweh, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19“I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.” The Church is not immune from Yeshua’s discipline, in fact, she’s first in line. There is salvation for no one, unless they repent, that includes me and you.
Once we do repent, we open the door for the fruit of the Spirit to take over our lives, Galatians 5:22-26, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24And those who are Messiah’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” There is hope for America’s future, there is hope for the world’s future, but it will only come through repentance from sin and faith toward Yeshua. As the King would say die to self now, or die to Me later, be crucified to self today, or be crucified to Me on Judgment Day. I would say fry now or fry later, turn now or barbeque later. Our choice is simple, die now to live, or live to self now and die. Choose life by death to self now. It may sound backwards, but our world is upside down from Yahweh’s Kingdom. No carnal flesh minded person will boast in His presence. When Yahweh shows up, we only see how filthy and sinful we are. When Yahweh shows up, His holy fire burns sin out of us by the Blood of Yeshua. When Yahweh shows up we receive judgment and mercy, you want both, for both are from His grace. Only the pure in heart will see Yahweh. He is holy, so we must become holy to live in His presence. That means death to you, me, and this world. Only through this death to self do you gain life to Him, by Him, in Him.
