What Yeshua Told Us To Pray About

WHAT YESHUA TOLD US TO PRAY ABOUT

During the 10 Days of Awe, from Tishri 1, Feast of Trumpets, through Tishri 10, Yom Kippur, we prayed a lot for Israel, the nations, and our own country and leaders. But since we are entering the end times, I believe we should learn what Yeshua told us to pray about, because of what is about to come upon the whole earth.

1 – Matthew 6:13, “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

2 – Matthew 26:41, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

3 – Mark 14:38, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

4 – Luke 11:4, “And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

5 – Luke 22:40, “When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

6 – Luke 22:46, “Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

7 – Luke 21:36, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Six times Yeshua tells us to pray not to enter into temptation, Strong’s Number 3986, a Greek word, peirasmos , pronounced pi-ras-mos’, used 21 times in the Renewed Covenant, which means, a putting to proof (by experiment [of good], experience [of evil], solicitation, discipline or provocation); by implication adversity: – temptation. Thayer’s Definition:

1) an experiment, attempt, trial, proving

1a) trial, proving: the trial made of you by my bodily condition, since condition served as to test the love of the Galatians toward Paul (Gal_4:14)

1b) the trial of man’s fidelity, integrity, virtue, constancy

1b1) an enticement to sin, temptation, whether arising from the desires or from the outward circumstances

1b2) an internal temptation to sin

1b2a) of the temptation by which the devil sought to divert Jesus the Messiah from his divine errand

1b3) of the condition of things, or a mental state, by which we are enticed to sin, or to a lapse from the faith and holiness

1b4) adversity, affliction, trouble: sent by God and serving to test or prove one’s character, faith, holiness

1c) temptation (i.e. trial) of God by men

1c1) rebellion against God, by which his power and justice are, as it were, put to the proof and challenged to show themselves.

In Luke 21:36, Yeshua does not use peirasmos, but is speaking of the same life experiences. Luke expands the thought to a specific time in history, what we know to be the coming Great Tribulation that Yeshua spoke of in Matthew 24:21, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” There is a specific testing or proving time coming that Yeshua told us to watch for and pray about, that we might be counted worthy to escape it. Why do we want to escape this coming time? Because it is the time of Yahweh’s judgment and wrath that will be poured out on evil mankind and their nations.

The word tribulation in Matthew 24:21 is Strong’s Number 2347, used 45 times in the Renewed Covenant. It is the Greek word thlipsis, pronounced thlip’-sis and means pressure. Yeshua stated that the mega pressure time that is coming has never been experienced on earth before and will never be experienced again. It will be a day of affliction, testing, trouble, trial, tribulation, persecution, and great pressure. What will be so bad about the pressure? Men will sell their souls to damnation in hellfire by taking the mark of the beast in order to eat food, so they can live physically. Men will give in to the pressure and submit to taking the mark, instead of denying their flesh and resisting the evil One World Order. The other side of the equation to taking the mark to gain temporary life is denying the Holy Spirit Who gives eternal life, thus assuring yourself of eternal damnation and cessation of life. It’s one or the other folks, take the mark to live a few more days or years in this physical existence, or deny your flesh, thus risking starving to death, resist the devil’s new media demo, and trust Yeshua to gain eternal life. Better yet, repent of your sins this moment, trust Yeshua to save you right now, and be prepared to face death for your newfound faith in Yahweh and His Son Yeshua HaMashiach!

What’s the advantage of repenting today and getting saved today? Yeshua promises you that you will miss out on this Great Tribulation that is coming. Revelation 3:10, “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” Acts 17:30-31, “Truly, these times of ignorance Yahweh overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” The day of temptation, or testing, is coming soon to a planet near you. Pray that you will not have to enter into that time.

The promise is that we will be raptured off this rock BEFORE this time hits the earth. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so Yahweh will bring with Him those who sleep in Yeshua (in death). 15For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Master will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16For the Master Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of Yahweh. And the dead in Messiah will rise first. 17Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Master. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

You want to be ready to go with Yeshua NOW, not when He comes as Judge to pour out His anger in wrath upon the wicked nations that continue to plot against Him and His people. We are headed for war, people. There’s been a lot of saber rattling in the Middle East this year, but sometime soon, one of the nut cases over there is going to pull the trigger that will lead to or begin World War III. Here’s a blurb from the latest Hal Lindsey Report, “How’s this for prophetic precision? Last week, Iran’s Fars news service reported that Syrian president Bashar al-Assad threatened to unleash a missile attack on Tel Aviv if NATO or Turkey dared interfere in Syria’s affairs.

This wasn’t an off-the-cuff, rash remark made in a fit of anger. He’s issued this threat before. On August 9th, Assad told the Turkish Foreign Minister that “it would take only six hours for Syria to devastate Tel Aviv and ignite the Middle East.”

Now, as ominous as that sounds, it’s not the part of the story that raises the red flag for prophecy watchers. Middle Eastern hotheads have been threatening to wipe out Israel for decades.

Here’s the critical part. Debkafile.com reports that after the first threat, Israel sent Syria a warning. In part, the message said, “If a single missile explodes in Tel Aviv, Damascus will be the first to pay the price..”

That raises the goosebumps, doesn’t it?”

Why does that raise goosebumps? Isaiah 17:1, “The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.”” You know Damascus, Syria, is the longest continually inhabited city on earth, at least 4,000 years. It has never been destroyed, but today Israel and the West hold the nuclear capability to fulfill Isaiah 17:1 in a moment of prophetic time!! Goosebumps, Hal, how about not being able to sleep from excitement!?! Watch Tel Aviv, Israel, and pray. Watch Damascus, Syria, and pray. The Psalm 83 and Daniel 8 wars are about to consume the Middle East and entire world. Be sober, prepared, and watch and pray for the many who do not yet know Yeshua as their Savior and Master. Billions of humans will perish during the Great Tribulation. Pray they meet Yeshua before they die.

My prayer for you is that you will be counted worthy to escape all these things. Look up, your redemption draws nigh. In the Spirit of this Feast of Sukkot Season, Psalm 27:5, “For in the (end) time of trouble (affliction, tribulation) He shall hide me in His pavilion (hut of entwined boughs, like a sukkah); in the secret place of His tabernacle (tent here, but think sukkah) He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock (Yeshua).”

He’s coming to tabernacle with us soon,

Gene Benjamin II
