Violent Earthquakes in Every Place
I’ve been telling folks for years now that the book of Matthew was originally written in Hebrew. You don’t have to believe it or accept it, but if you do, you may experience a paradigm shift in some of your beliefs. My New King James Version translation of Matthew 24:6-8, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.” As Tim points out Mark and Luke say the same thing about earthquakes in various places. Hugh J. Schonfield translated and published du Tillet’s Hebrew Matthew in 1927 CE. Thanks Hugh! Any relation to you Karl? Here’s du Tillet’s Matthew 24:7-8a, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be pestilence, and famine, 8and earthquake, in every place.”
As Tim makes very clear, the phrase, “in various places” adds nothing to understanding Matthew 24:7. BUT, with du Tillet’s “earthquake, in every place”, we have clarification and understanding of the unique significance of this particular earthquake. Since creation, we’ve had earthquakes in various places. They are happening today at an amazingly increasing pace and severity. BUT, WE HAVE NOT HAD ONE EARTHQUAKE AT EVERY PLACE ON EARTH AT THE SAME TIME!! For that to happen, we’d have to have supernatural intervention from Yahweh to tip off such a massive earthquake, OR we’d need to see a large mass asteroid/planet fly by the earth at a fairly close distance from our surface, for gravity to trigger such a destructive quake.
Yeshua’s earthquake from Matthew 24:7 and John’s earthquake at the sixth seal, may be the same quake. Revelation 6:12-14, “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13And the stars of heaven (asteroids?) fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up (as a result of an asteroid impact?), and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.”
A worldwide earthquake caused by a large mass asteroid/planet flyby, or from a large asteroid impact on earth, would make sense by what Yeshua was telling his disciples. Also, notice the timing element in Yeshua’s words in verses 8-9, “All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.” This worldwide earthquake will occur BEFORE the tribulation. Sorry rapture theory folks, Yeshua said that, I didn’t. Think about it for a moment. If every city and military fort or base on the planet is destroyed by one huge earthquake all at once, in the blink of an eye, who ya gonna call to respond to your disaster? Not a pretty scenario to contemplate, but it’s the truth of what is about to happen to planet earth.
Now think on this. . . wouldn’t such a catastrophic event make a great stage for the entrance of the Anti-Messiah to appear with a solution to this global disaster? FREE food, FREE health-care, FREE pre-loaded debit card anyone? Just trot on down to your local NWO office and sign up!! You only have to pledge your soul to him!!
Astronomers are expecting at least one close flyby of an asteroid this fall of 2012 CE. I haven’t kept up with where people believe Planet X is at right now, but if it’s out there, it will fly by earth at the right time, when Yahweh wants it to. This earthquake in every place may be the star that falls to earth in Revelation 8, known as Wormwood, in the seventh seal. When the flyby/impact/earthquake happens, we will all know, for we will all be affected by it. Many of us will not survive this destructive calamity.
This violent flyby/impact/earthquake in every place may be just the event we need to adjust earth’s orbit back to a literal prophetic year of 360 days, just in time for the tribulation years of Daniel’s final 70th week to unfold. Sounds like Yahweh to me. Isaiah saw this event also, in 24:17-23, “Fear and the pit and the snare
Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 And it shall be
That he who flees from the noise of the fear
Shall fall into the pit,
And he who comes up from the midst of the pit
Shall be caught in the snare;
For the windows from on high are open,
And the foundations of the earth are shaken.
19 The earth is violently broken,
The earth is split open,
The earth is shaken exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard,
And shall totter like a hut;
Its transgression shall be heavy upon it,
And it will fall, and not rise again.
21 It shall come to pass in that day
That Yahweh will punish on high the host of exalted ones,
And on the earth the kings of the earth.
22 They will be gathered together,
As prisoners are gathered in the pit,
And will be shut up in the prison;
After many days they will be punished.
23 Then the moon will be disgraced
And the sun ashamed;
For Yahweh of hosts will reign
On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
And before His elders, gloriously.”
You don’t have to believe Yahweh’s word if you don’t want to, but I highly recommend that you reach deep into yourself and find that saving faith in Yeshua, right now, today, before it’s too late. Just ask Yeshua to forgive you and to save you from yourself and from what’s coming upon earth. He’s the coolest Mighty One known to man. He has a great sense of humor, but now His anger is about to run over into end-time judgment upon man and planet earth. You really don’t want to see Yahweh’s wrath poured out, without being on His side in this game of life. Today is your day of salvation, don’t squander it like you’ve done with many of your days.
