The Flip Side of the Resistance Coin

Our Source of Protection

A Second Message to the Sons of Benjamin

The following post was inspired by Joel Hilliker’s great article What Is Your Source of Protection at: http://www.thetrumpet.com/article/9468.7.0.0/society/crime/as-gun-sales-skyrocket-what-is-your-source-of-protection

Joel brings balance to the concept of civil disobedience or resistance to tyranny. Though we have the right to defend ourselves, is that what Yeshua wants us to do? After all, Yeshua commanded us to endure to our own end, not survive the apocalypse at all costs. No doubt about it, we need protection, but Whose protection do we need most? We are going to experience tribulation, or Great Tribulation for those who believe we’re already experiencing the end times.

Ezekiel 5, “And you, son of man, take a sharp sword, take it as a barber’s razor, and pass it over your head and your beard; then take scales to weigh and divide the hair. 2You shall burn with fire one-third in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are finished; then you shall take one-third and strike around it with the sword, and one-third you shall scatter in the wind: I will draw out a sword after them. 3You shall also take a small number of them and bind them in the edge of your garment. 4Then take some of them again and throw them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From there a fire will go out into all the house of Israel [modern State of Israel, Great Britain, America].

5“Thus says Sovereign Yahweh: ‘This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations and the countries all around her. 6She has rebelled against My judgments by doing wickedness more than the nations, and against My statutes more than the countries that are all around her; for they have refused My judgments, and they have not walked in My statutes.’ 7Therefore thus says Sovereign Yahweh: ‘Because you have multiplied disobedience more than the nations that are all around you, have not walked in My statutes nor kept My judgments, nor even done according to the judgments of the nations that are all around you’—8therefore thus says Sovereign Yahweh: ‘Indeed I, even I, am against you and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations. 9And I will do among you what I have never done, and the like of which I will never do again, because of all your abominations [obamanations?]. 10Therefore fathers shall eat their sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments among you, and all of you who remain I will scatter to all the winds. [That great windy storm is coming.]

11‘Therefore, as I live,’ says Sovereign Yahweh, ‘surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you; My eye will not spare, nor will I have any pity. 12One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds [I’m beginning not to like the wind.], and I will draw out a sword after them.

13‘Thus shall My anger be spent, and I will cause My fury to rest upon them, and I will be avenged; and they shall know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it in My zeal, when I have spent My fury upon them. 14Moreover I will make you a waste and a reproach among the nations that are all around you, in the sight of all who pass by.

15‘So it shall be a reproach, a taunt, a lesson, and an astonishment to the nations that are all around you, when I execute judgments among you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I, Yahweh, have spoken. 16When I send against them the terrible arrows of famine which shall be for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, I will increase the famine upon you and cut off your supply of bread. 17So I will send against you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I, Yahweh, have spoken.’”

America is Mystery Babylon and she will fall in one day, see Revelation 17-18. Do you want to go down with guns blazing? Shouldering the responsibility for taking another human life? We already have the blood of multiplied millions of aborted babies on our hands. Do you really want more blood on your hands? King David was a man after Yahweh’s heart, but Yahweh would not let David build the Holy Temple of Yahweh, because that would have been a profane thing, since he had blood on his hands. Think about it, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Do you want to profane your temple? Guns are great for providing food for the table, but are they the ultimate form of human protection?

But didn’t Yeshua tell His disciples to buy a sword? Yes, He did, but for what purpose? Luke 22:36-37, “Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”” Yeshua had them buy a sword so He would be considered an outlaw by the Romans, so they would be sure to have no qualms about murdering Him on the execution stake. He had to fulfill Isaiah 53:12, “Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors [rebels], and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Yeshua did not mean for His disciples to kill Romans, but for Himself to fulfill ancient Bible prophecy.

In the JESUS ADVENT 1.0, Yeshua had no interest in armed rebellion against the Roman government. John 18:36a, “Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight,” Yeshua wants us to make disciples, not kill them. We’re to be busy in the boat fishing for the souls of men, not looking to snuff out their lives. At the JESUS ADVENT 2.0, when Yeshua comes back to earth, HE WILL FIGHT THE RIGHTEOUS WAR AGAINST THE NATIONS, Revelation 19:11-16, “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of Yahweh. 14And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty Yahweh. 16And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:  KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

How do you reconcile armed self-defense or armed rebellion with Matthew 5:39, “But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.” You can’t, we’re commanded to submit to the evil and suffer with Messiah. What’s important for us is to make sure we’re in the boat and will be among the armies of heaven when Yeshua returns. Hunting for food is ok, but murdering your neighbor because he wants to steal your food is not ok. Exodus 20:13 is still in the Book, “You shall not murder.” Apostle Paul weighs in on this theme also in Romans 12:19, “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says Yahweh.” You may have to hold a bad guy captive until the authorities come and arrest him, but that’s a far cry from just blowing the person away.

Yeshua knew we would be going through the violent times of tribulation. He prophesied it in Matthew 24:21, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” But Yeshua did not leave us defenseless, we have the Holy Spirit and the model prayer of Matthew 6:13a, “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

Yahweh is our Protector, He is real and real powerful. 2 Peter 2:9, “then Yahweh knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.” For thousands of years Yahweh has already demonstrated His ability to protect and deliver His saints. We just need to trust Him to do it for us. Hebrews 11:33-34, “who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”

Yahweh is a Warrior and He will fight your battle, if you trust Him. The only limit on Yahweh’s ability is the quality of our faith, is it pure or defiled, and our obedience to Him. 1 John 3:22, “And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” Pleasing Yahweh will guarantee His protection over you in the coming apocalypse.

Repent and get in His fishing boat today.
