Today’s Scripture is Psalm 76, “In Judah Yahweh is known;
His name is great in Israel.
2 In Salem also is His tabernacle,
And His dwelling place in Zion.
3 There He broke the arrows of the bow,
The shield and sword of battle.
Selah
4 You are more glorious and excellent
Than the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted were plundered;
They have sunk into their sleep;
And none of the mighty men have found the use of their hands.
6 At Your rebuke, O Mighty One of Jacob,
Both the chariot and horse were cast into a dead sleep.
7 You, Yourself, are to be feared;
And who may stand in Your presence
When once You are angry?
8 You caused judgment to be heard from heaven;
The earth feared and was still,
9 When Yahweh arose to judgment,
To deliver all the oppressed of the earth.
Selah
10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise You;
With the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself.
11 Make vows to Yahweh your Mighty One, and pay them;
Let all who are around Him bring presents to Him who ought to be feared.
12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes;
He is awesome to the kings of the earth.”
In verse 5 we see the word stouthearted, meaning: angel, bull, chiefest, mighty (one), stout [-hearted], strong (one), valiant. Yahweh’s mighty valiant warriors have been plundered and beat down. The prophetic Scriptures state that the strength of the children of Yahweh will be shattered in the end times, Daniel 12:7, “Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.” These days are coming upon the saints soon. The saints of ages past have already been beaten down and martyred. They are resting in slumbering sleep as we write, awaiting their great resurrection day. It’s amazing to me that as we wrote in the blog yesterday, the end times have slept until the right time, now we see Yahweh’s valiant warriors, the mighty men of old, are also slumbering until the end of time. Wake up day is upon us.
Psalm 76 is speaking of judgment day also. Look at verses 7-9; Judgment Day is just about here. Yahweh’s anger is about to spill onto the earth in His wrath. He is going to bring the world to its knees in silence. But look at verse 9; the purpose of Yahweh’s judgment is to deliver the oppressed of His people!!!! Rejoice saints, your deliverance is just around the corner of time.
And look at verse 10; even in the days of the great war at Armageddon, when the wrath of man reaches its pinnacle, it only results in praise to Yahweh!! Is that wonderful or what? Man at his worst, in his most angry state of wrath, with all his nukes and nasty chemical and biological weapons unleashed, will only result in the praise of Yahweh. That should cause all men, saint and sinner, to sit down and shut up and slap their hands over their mouth in fearful awe before Yahweh.
Verse 11 reminds me again of Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Yahweh, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Yahweh, which is your reasonable service.” The only present Yahweh wants from us today is us, wholly sold out to Him, dedicated, consecrated, committed to His service, 24/7. He doesn’t need or want the blood of bulls and goats, He has the blood of His son Yeshua. He wants you, to save you, to speak with you, to grow you up in obedience to His will. You are Yahweh’s present. He created you to be a gift to Him as His children. He wants your fellowship, your relationship. Give your life to Yeshua today.
Verse 12. Make no mistake, Yahweh is coming in judgment to crush every civil government, to slay every prince that is not His, to defeat and wipe out the nations of the earth. His Kingdom is coming and no other kingdom or nation will stand before Him. It matters not whether or not you believe His word. It will happen, just as He said.
