Possibly My Last Blog
Sorry I haven’t blogged in awhile, I’ve been working and studying. I was blessed to come across some teaching about Hezekiah and Sennacherib’s encounters back in the 8th century BCE. Hezekiah encountered Sennacherib two times as a test of his heart. 2 Chronicles 32:25, “But Hezekiah did not repay according to the favor shown him, for his heart was lifted up; therefore wrath was looming over him and over Judah and Jerusalem.” In the first encounter, Hezekiah trusted in himself and his military might and saved Judah by paying tribute to Sennacherib. By the second encounter, Hezekiah had humbled himself and let Yahweh destroy Sennacherib’s army. Sennacherib came against Hezekiah twice, once in Hezekiah’s 14th year, 715 BCE, as Tartan for his father Sargon II, King of Assyria, and once again in Hezekiah’s 27th year, 702 BCE, as King of Assyria, when Yahweh killed 185,000 of Sennacherib’s soldiers and he went home in disgrace, never to leave Nineveh again. You know the story found in 2 Kings 18-20; Isaiah 36-39; and 2 Chronicles 32. Sennacherib didn’t get the chance to besiege Jerusalem in 715 BCE, but he did coerce a hefty tribute out of Hezekiah. 715 was the year Hezekiah got sick and Yahweh added 15 years to his life, so we know he reigned the 29 years as mentioned in these Scriptures. But in 702 BCE, Sennacherib did lay siege to Jerusalem, but Yahweh delivered Jerusalem and Judah from his clutches. What Gordon Franz of www.lifeandland.org brings out in his teaching is that Isaiah uses a literary device called a chiasm that let’s us know that Isaiah’s prophecy of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years in Isa. 37:30 and 2 Kings 19:29 occurred in 702/701 BCE. This is the only place in Scripture where a Jubilee is practically spoken about. Why is this significant? Because this Sabbatical year and 18th Jubilee (after the Jordan River crossing by Joshua) that Isaiah prophesied to Hezekiah ties to every other Jubilee and Sabbatical year in biblical and modern history! The true Scriptural Sabbatical years occur ONE YEAR AFTER the Jewish calendar Shmita, or Sabbatical, years.
So what? Well, World War II ended just before the 72nd Jubilee began on Yom Kippur in 1945. 49 years later, just before the start of the 73rd Jubilee in 1994, the comet Shoemaker-Levy broke up and hit Jupiter with 21 pieces, beginning on July 16, 1994, causing the greatest explosions ever witnessed in our solar system! The 9th of Av occurred during the week these pieces were hitting Jupiter. The first atomic bomb was test exploded on July 16, 1945. Is there a relationship? Was the comet Shoemaker-Levy one of Yeshua’s signs in the heavens? Possibly, 21 years after 1994 will be 2015 CE. What’s so significant about 2015? Well, for one thing Yom Kippur 2015 is exactly 49 360-day years (17,640 days) after the Jews recaptured their Temple Mount on June 7, 1967. So, in a very real sense, 2015 could begin a Jubilee on one of Yahweh’s divine calendars and the Shoemaker-Levy may be one of Yeshua’s signs in the heavens to get our attention pointed to His calendar. As always, I’m brokenhearted that I’ve missed celebrating the Jubilee that has occurred in my lifetime, but I won’t miss the next one. But as far as signs in the heavens go, we are expecting to be hit or nearly missed by an asteroid tomorrow, September 27, 2011 CE. This asteroid’s tracking number is 2011-SE58. Check it out at www.spaceweather.com. If this asteroid hits us and kills me, I won’t be blogging any more, but let’s pray for peace and safety for all of us. The timing is interesting, because President Obama will be hiding out in the underground bunker city under the Denver International Airport under the guise of a Defcon 1 military exercise. Our Congress and many parliaments around the world will be in recess over the next week. Many corporate CEOs are also hiding out somewhere, maybe with Obama. This asteroid, if it hits, may just cause an earthquake, or destroy one city, but be warned and prepared. Planet X was supposed to cause problems today, September 26, 2011, but the day’s not over yet. We could still experience an extinction level event this week. Watch and pray.
But on to more interesting things. Have you ever heard of the Catholic St. Malachy? Well, apparently, back in 1139 CE he went to Rome and had a vision while there. He prophesied of the last 112 popes to rule before the Judge shows up to judge the world. So what? Well, Pope Benedict XVI, elected in 2005, is the 111th pope from St. Malachy’s prophesy!! The last pope, number 112, will have a name, or motto, something like Petrus Romanus. So what you say? Well, the Vatican is preparing the selection list for the next pope to replace Benedict XVI, who is quite old now. One of the cardinals they are looking at for election is a black man by the name of Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson of Ghana!!! What did Yeshua say in Matthew 24:32-34, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” Israel is the fig tree and became a nation again in 1948! There are no coincidences with Yahweh. This is Turkson’s generation, he may be a man of great destiny. Watch and pray.
