Our Daily Drink today comes from the book of Jeremiah, chapter 5. Jeremiah is preaching about the doom about to befall Israel when Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, was about to destroy Judah, the Temple and Jerusalem in 3540 = 507 BCE. Let’s join Jeremiah as his ancient words ring true even today, beginning at verse 20, ““Declare this in the house of Jacob
And proclaim it in Judah, saying,
21 ‘Hear this now, O foolish people,
Without understanding,
Who have eyes and see not,
And who have ears and hear not:
22 Do you not fear Me?’ says Yahweh.
‘Will you not tremble at My presence,
Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea,
By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it?
And though its waves toss to and fro,
Yet they cannot prevail;
Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.
23 But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart;
They have revolted and departed.
24 They do not say in their heart,
“Let us now fear Yahweh our Mighty One,
Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season.
He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”
25 Your iniquities have turned these things away,
And your sins have withheld good from you.”
Saturday, August 21, 2010, may go down in Israel’s history as the day they chose not to defend themselves against their enemies. Israel may have lost their chance to maintain stability in the Middle East by not attacking Iran’s new nuclear power facility at Bushehr before it went hot. The good news is that the stage is now being set for Iran to do something stupid with a nuke that will enrage the West (USA, Great Britain), so we will fulfill Daniel 8:3-8, by smashing Iran to oblivion. I am amazed by the restraint shown by both Israel and the U.S. Government over the last week in not taking out the new Bushehr nuclear power plant. Even the globalist elite can’t act without the say so of Yahweh. Yahweh has His own timing scheme, and it will be followed, even by the Devil himself.
Think about this timing issue again for a moment. Iran began building the Bushehr nuclear facility in 1975! The partially completed plant was bombed by Iraq during the Iraq-Iran War in the 1980s. The Germans who initially backed the plant refused to finish it after the war. It wasn’t until 1995 that Russia signed an agreement to finish the Bushehr nuclear power plant. It has taken 15 years from that point to make the reactor hot. It has taken 35 years for Iran to finish their first nuclear power plant. My end-time point, Yahweh is the Master at timing human events. Make no mistake, while the Devil sets the one world order up to crush Yahweh’s people, Yahweh is setting up the Devil for his final smack down.
Here’s a side note for you eschatology buffs. Pyramid Productions, in their video on the Great Pyramid, state that they discovered two timelines originating from the same point in the passageways of the Pyramid, one being the upper passageway, the other the lower passageway. Both timelines ended at the same year, 1914 CE. That was the year our great-grandparents awoke to World War I. I dare say that 1914 began the end times, a 100 year final time span, filled with warfare, famine, plagues, and death. Think four horsemen of the apocalypse; they’ve been riding for almost 100 years now. Think also on this fact, we are only about 3 ½ years away from 2014 CE, the end of the 100 years of the time of the end. We’re past time to get ready, that time was back in 1975. It’s now time to repent for the Kingdom of Yahweh is at hand!
Israel’s continued rebellion in not accepting Yeshua HaMashiach as their Messiah will be their national downfall again. The hearts and minds of the Jewish people are still blinded to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Yeshua, their Messiah. Notice verses 24-25 above, the Jews are nearing their fall feasts of Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot, or Feast of Tabernacles. If Israel makes it to their fall feasts this year, they will continue to only celebrate the types and shadows of the feasts that Yeshua is fulfilling as the spiritual reality. Yahweh will continue to withhold good from the Jewish people until they recognize their Messiah, Yeshua. Pray that our Israeli brethren will not wait until they hear the last trumpet on the last Yom Teruah to get saved; for on that day, the wrath of Yahweh will be poured out on those who hate Him and have continued to rebel against Him. If they do not believe before that last trumpet sounds, it will then be too late to repent and receive Yeshua as Master and Savior. We are running out of time. Israelis are running out of time.
“26‘For among My people are found wicked men;
They lie in wait as one who sets snares;
They set a trap;
They catch men.
27 As a cage is full of birds,
So their houses are full of deceit.
Therefore they have become great and grown rich.
28 They have grown fat, they are sleek;
Yes, they surpass the deeds of the wicked;
They do not plead the cause,
The cause of the fatherless;
Yet they prosper,
And the right of the needy they do not defend.
29 Shall I not punish them for these things?’ says Yahweh.
‘Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?’
30 “An astonishing and horrible thing
Has been committed in the land:
31 The prophets prophesy falsely,
And the priests rule by their own power;
And My people love to have it so.
But what will you do in the end?”
There is no special salvation for the Jews, for all humans must repent and come to the knowledge of the truth, Yeshua. See Romans 11:25-27, “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26And so (in the Greek it means, in like manner) all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.”” Israelis, Jews, get saved in the same way all other humans get saved, repent and give their lives to Yeshua. All nations, including Israel, are just as sinful and guilty of evil acts as they were in Jeremiah’s day. We must all fall on our face, repent, and turn our hearts over to Yeshua HaMashiach, so He can save us, change us, redeem us, and deliver us in the day of trouble coming upon all the inhabitants of the earth. Anyone preaching a special salvation or dispensation for the Jews is a false prophet. The only Israel of God is a spiritual Israel. Yahweh is building a spiritual kingdom and has no interest in a natural physical secular nation of modern Israel. My question to modern Israel is the same as that of Yahweh, “But what will you do in the end?” My recommendation: REPENT! And turn to Yeshua your Messiah!
