Passover is upon us again. Matthew 26:27-29, “Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.””
I love Yahweh, Yeshua, and His annual Feasts! I can’t wait to celebrate Passover with Yeshua in His earthly Kingdom! It’s what this Feast points to: Yahweh saving some folks to form a huge family to fill His Kingdom forever. Passover has at least a three-fold purpose, to remind us of what Yahweh has already done for His people, for us to remind Him to get back here and not forget His promises to us, and to look forward to His imminent return to earth. Consider Our Passover – God Himself
Dear Friends –
At PASSOVER we consider the Blood of God, the Blood of the Lamb of God, of whom Abraham and John the Baptist did prophecy. Abraham said God would provide HIMSELF, A LAMB. John said Behold The LAMB of God which taketh away the sin of the world. And Paul said – 1 Cor 11:23-30 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
In the Passover memorial Feast of the LORD, we examine ourselves, seeking to rid ourselves of the leaven of sin, iniquity, guile, insincerity, and unforgiveness. We must examine ourselves. The Blood of God is so precious that those who would partake unworthily, bring damnation to themselves. Believe it or not, the truth is that such failure to judge ourselves is the cause of much sickness and even death.
Behold the Lamb of God. Messiah our Passover IS sacrificed for us. Consider the Propitiation, the price of Redemption, the Blood of God. Luke 12:4-5 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell (gehenna = lake of fire = second death); yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Mat 16:24-26 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Lev 10:10-13 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses. And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy: And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Only the BLOOD of the LAMB, which God would HIMSELF provide, could be sufficient to purge any and all sin from any man. The necessary, and only redemption price for any soul of any man, is the BLOOD of the LAMB of God. At the beginning of the year Passover, and half way through the year, the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, we are called by God to examine ourselves, and to consider the Atonement of the Blood of the Lamb of God. If I may be so bold to say, God calls His people, Israel, the born again ones, to be born again, AGAIN.
1 Cor 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our PASSOVER is sacrificed for us:
1 Pet 2:21-23 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin (THE SIN OFFERING) for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
I John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
The only man who could possibly save, redeem, or have God PASS OVER an entire race of sinful human beings would have to be a human man that was ALSO God. Yeshua Ha Meshiach, Jesus THE Christ, IS that perfect man-sacrifice meeting all these necessary requirements to atone for all the sin for all of HIS PEOPLE. Those who are NOT His people WILL NOT understand this.
John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Phil 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
What is universally called the LAST SUPPER was the PASSOVER memorial Feast to the LORD, which God who can not lie and does not change, told HIS PEOPLE, was to be an ORDINANCE FOR EVER. Exo 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Exo 12:17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. Mat 26:26-28 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is MY BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, (Jer 31:31), which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
UNDERSTAND THE LAST SUPPER WAS THE PASSOVER ORDINANCE OF GOD FOR HIS PEOPLE TO KEEP FOR EVER.
1 Pet 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Rom 3:24-25 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION, (the required redemption payment), through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are PAST, through the forbearance of God;
ALLOW ME TO ASK AN IMPORTANT QUESTION – HAVE YOU SINNED EVEN ONE SIN OF COMMISSION OR OMISSION, IN THOUGHT, WORD, OR DEED, IN THE LAST YEAR?
Unless you are a liar, YES, is the answer, and THE PASSOVER, is how to propitiate the problem. The redemption price, THE PROPITIATION, the price that God established to redeem, forgive, and restore anyone from any and all sin IS the blood of The Lamb of God. That is what is required to be passed over in the judgment of God from the Exodus to the Last Day. 1 Cor 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover IS sacrificed for us: ONLY the precious BLOOD of Jesus can possibly meet God’s requirements for justice as it relates to our sins. Only the BLOOD of the Lamb of God can wash us clean from all our PAST sins, the sins we committed since being born again, and the sin we might commit between now and until the day we die.
WILL WE, AT THE PASSOVER MEMORIAL FEAST OF THE LORD, WHICH GOD COMMANDED HIS PEOPLE TO KEEP AS AN ORDINANCE FOR EVER, – Will we stop and repent, ask for forgiveness, and by faith ask for and believe we are washed clean again, THIS PASSOVER, by the blood of the Lamb of God? Yes, Passover is an invitation by God to His people, to be born again, AGAIN. Will we accept or reject the invitation? May I also say that it has never been more important that we do keep this memorial Feast of the LORD, which He commanded His people to observe as an ORDINANCE FOR EVER.
