AMERICA
Obadiah 1:1-10, “The vision of Obadiah.
Thus says Sovereign Yahweh concerning Edom (America)
(We have heard a report from Yahweh,
And a messenger has been sent among the nations, saying,
“Arise, and let us rise up against her (America) for battle”):
2 “Behold, I will make you (America) small among the nations;
You shall be greatly despised.”
We know that at least the Islamic world despises America as “the Great Satan”.
“3 The pride of your heart has deceived you,
You who dwell in the clefts of the rock,
Whose habitation is high;
You who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’”
Are American’s proud? Yes. Should we be? No. Pride comes before a fall. Have Americans been living with the highest standard of living the world has ever seen? Yes. Will it last? I don’t think so.
“4 Though you ascend as high as the eagle,
And though you set your nest among the stars,
From there I will bring you down,” says Yahweh.”
Everyone knows the American symbol is the Eagle, but no matter how high the Eagle flies, Yahweh can and will bring her down. I don’t like to rag on my beloved nation. I used to do that, but I don’t anymore, because it doesn’t do any good for America. But Yahweh just gave us these verses from Obadiah. I didn’t go looking for some cool Scripture to slam America with, when she’s about to shut down her federal bureaucracy. Yahweh simply wants Americans to repent and America to repent as a nation. Will we? Will she? Time will tell, but America isn’t really described in the end times, unless you interpret Mystery Babylon as America. It may fit. Make up your own mind.
“5 “If thieves had come to you,
If robbers by night—
Oh, how you will be cut off!—
Would they not have stolen till they had enough?
If grape-gatherers had come to you,
Would they not have left some gleanings?
6 “Oh, how Esau (America) shall be searched out!
How his hidden treasures shall be sought after!
7 All the men in your confederacy
Shall force you to the border;
The men at peace with you
Shall deceive you and prevail against you.
Those who eat your bread shall lay a trap for you.
No one is aware of it.”
How many coalition military forces have we been a part of over the last 20 years? Beware our so-called friends who are at peace with us. 1 Thessalonians 5:3, “For when they (those at peace with you) say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.” I’m sure there is a federal civil servant somewhere who keeps track of all the nations we feed with our grains. Who keeps track of which ones of those that turn against us? That will make an interesting comparison. Yahweh says these so-called friendly welfare nations will set a trap for us.
“8 “Will I not in that day,” says Yahweh,
“Even destroy the wise men from Edom (America),
And understanding from the mountains of Esau (America)?
9 Then your mighty men, O Teman (Washington D.C.), shall be dismayed,
To the end that everyone from the mountains of Esau (America)
May be cut off by slaughter.
10 “For violence against your brother Jacob (Israel),
Shame shall cover you,
And you shall be cut off forever.”
The moment President Obama took the oath of office on January 20, 2009, America’s policy toward Israel changed. We no longer support our brother Jacob like we should. That will prove to be a fatal mistake. Just that one mistake will bring us down, not to mention our immorality, abortion holocaust, national debt, crime, violence, and gluttony. We’re headed for really rough times in America. Shutting down the federal government is just the beginning. Repent this moment, time is running out. Yeshua is coming soon, believe it or not.
The only hope for America is to humble ourselves, seek Yahweh, and repent of our sins and America’s national sins. We are a greedy, blood-thirsty, debt-ridden nation that has consistently rejected Yahweh and His Kingdom for about 100 years now. Please pray for our leaders, our churches, family, friends, and neighbors. Unless we repent and Yahweh brings about a spiritual awakening in America, we are doomed. Throw yourself on the cross of Yeshua, throw yourself on the altar of Yahweh, plead for Yahweh’s mercy, He desires all to come to repentance and be saved. Unless Yahweh gets a hold of the heart of America again, we will face His judgment. It’s as certain as all prophecy in His Word. Prophecy is simply history written before it happens. We must stand in the gap for our once great nation. Intercede like you’ve never interceded before, the hour is late and the situation is desperate. We are drowning in a sea of red ink, immorality, paganism, and depravity never before seen on the earth. Throwing ourselves into the arms of our loving heavenly Father is our only hope; He is our Savior. Do it now.
