A Simple Lesson From Shavuot
Leviticus 23:14-16 (NKJV) “You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your Mighty One; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 15‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to Yahweh.”
Romans 12:1 (NKJV) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Yahweh, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Yahweh, which is your reasonable service.”
Ephesians 2:14-16 (NKJV) “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both (Hebrew and Gentile, Judah and Ephraim) one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law (Torah) of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two (Judah and Ephraim, Hebrew and Gentile), thus making peace, 16and that He might reconcile them both (Judah and Ephraim, Hebrew and Gentile) to Yahweh in one body (the Messianic Hebrew Church) through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”
Yahweh showed me that we are the “new grain offering” to be offered up to Yahweh as a living sacrifice under the renewed covenant celebration of Shavuot, or Pentecost. Look at Ephesians 2, one of the most powerful chapters in the entire Scriptures. Yahshua abolished the hostility, the cause for any opposition, between our flesh and Yahweh’s Law, or Torah. By His one time sacrifice of Himself, He eliminated the ritualistic ceremonial sacrificial system of atoning for sin under the First Covenant. Notice verse 16, Yahshua killed the hostility, the opposition, between humans and Yahweh’s perfect holy good and righteous Law, NOT the moral code of Torah itself. The flaw is not in the Torah, it’s in human flesh, our sin nature. Anyone who accepts Yahshua by grace through faith in Him and what He has already done on the execution stake, can have this flaw fixed. He will take out your heart of flesh, your sinful heart, and give you a heart with His nature, a spiritual heart full of love for Yahweh and compassion for your fellow man.
Hebrews and Gentiles are all saved the same way, by grace through faith in Yahshua, that’s how Yahweh makes us all one new man, one new body, one new Messianic Hebrew Church. That is what Paul was talking about in Romans 11:26 also. Hebrews are saved in the same way, in the same manner, as Gentiles are, Romans 11:26 (NKJV) “And so (in like manner) all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;” This verse does NOT say that all Hebrews will be saved, just as all Gentiles will not be saved, but all who are saved, are saved in the same way, in the same manner, by grace through faith in Yahshua!!
You can never eliminate the moral code of the Torah, for that is Yahweh’s nature, it’s how the whole universe is governed. Matthew 22:35-40 (NKJV) “Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law (Torah)?” 37Yahshua said to him, “‘You shall love Yahweh your Mighty One with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.””
Hebrews can never keep all of Yahweh’s Torah to perfection and achieve life that way, neither can Messianic or Grace Christians. That is why Yahshua killed, abolished, put to death the hostility, or opposition, between us and His holy Torah. Life is found in Yahshua, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Yahweh has made peace between us all and Him through Yahshua’s sacrifice.
Why do humans hate the Torah? Because we can’t keep it, we receive the death penalty!! Who would want that? So Yahshua put to death our hatred for the Torah on the execution stake of His final sacrifice! Now we know we will never die, so now we can love Torah and let it kill our flesh! Now we can let Yahweh peal away our sin nature and replace it with His nature! The fear of death is gone, so we can now walk hand in hand with our Heavenly Father, Abba, Daddy!
We can also walk hand in hand with our brother Judah, the Jews, the Hebrews. We just need to introduce them to their Savior and Messiah, Yahshua, Jesus Christ! The Word says He reconciled Hebrews and Gentiles into one body through the execution stake. That final act of love by Yahshua, His self-sacrifice on the execution stake killed any and all hostility between the members of Yahweh’s family, Hebrew and Gentile, and between all of us and His Torah. It’s time to get over ourselves and work together introducing our world to Yahweh and His Son Yahshua!
1 Corinthians 15:31 (NKJV) “I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Messiah Yahshua our Master, I die daily.” Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) “I have been crucified with Messiah; it is no longer I who live, but Messiah lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of Yahweh, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Yahshua said in Matthew 10:39 (NKJV) “He who finds his life will lose (destroy fully, perish) it, and he who loses (destroys) his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 16:24-27 (NKJV) “Then Yahshua said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross (die to self!!), and follow Me. 25For whoever desires to save his life will lose (destroy) it, but whoever loses (destroys) his life for My sake will find it. 26For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of Man will come [Yahshua Advent 2.0] in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.”
