THE LAST CHANCE SIGN
One day long ago, Yeshua was attempting to straighten out the perverted thinking of the scribes and Pharisees when they asked him for a sign. Carefully read Yeshua’s response from Matthew 12:39-41, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.” Was the prophecy of the three days and three nights in the heart of the earth the sign Yeshua wanted the Pharisees and scribes to understand? Was it the eternally significant sign presented to them? What sign of Jonah had age-during consequences for the people of Nineveh? Was it the fact that he slept in the belly of a great fish for a few nights? Yeshua gave us the clue in verse 41. The real sign of Jonah was that he brought the sinners in Nineveh a message of repentance. Jonah’s message of repentance brought Nineveh salvation from Yahweh’s judgment. If Jonah had not preached repentance, and if the Ninevites had not repented, Nineveh would have been destroyed. Was Nineveh any worse than the wicked cities we live in? Was that generation any worse than the first century generation during Yeshua’s earthly life? Were they any different than our own evil and adulterous generation? John the Baptist and his cousin, Yeshua, preached the same gospel of the Kingdom as did the prophet Jonah, REPENT! It’s the gospel message our so-called modern world needs to hear, REPENT!
Consider what Yeshua told the crowd in Luke 13:1-5, “There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2And Yeshua answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? 3I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. 4Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”” If you think I teach doom and gloom, read Luke 12 to get more of the context of Yeshua’s answer in Luke 13. “But how is it you do not discern this time?”
People, we are at the time of the end and are on the verge of the end of time as we know it. Judgment day is at the door. The Day of Yahweh is at hand. It is time to repent now. We are simply waiting for the triggering event to happen that will begin the final seven years of sin’s reign over men’s lives. Bringing the hammer down on that nut case in Iran may be the event that does it. Read Daniel 8:1-8 again, “In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me—to me, Daniel—after the one that appeared to me the first time. 2I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I was in Shushan, the citadel, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai. 3Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and there, standing beside the river, was a ram [Islam] which had two horns [Iraq and Iran], and the two horns were high; but one was higher [Iran] than the other, and the higher one came up last [Iran]. 4I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward, so that no animal could withstand him; nor was there any that could deliver from his hand, but he did according to his will and became great. 5And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat came from the west [USA and Great Britain], across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a notable horn [Obama] between his eyes. 6Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power. 7And I saw him confronting the ram; he was moved with rage against him, attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could deliver the ram from his hand. 8Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken [Obama and USA], and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven (a UN divided former America).” (Daniel 8:1-8, insertions mine.)
Folks, the final exam is about to begin. Forget your No. 2 pencils, it will not be a test of what you know, or of what you have (sorry rich folks) or don’t have (sorry poor folks). It will not be a test of survival in the bunker with a couple barrels of water, your assault rifle and some beef jerky. It will be a test of who you are. It will be a test of worship. The Greek word for worship is proskuneo which means to surrender obedience, to prostrate oneself, or to kiss with submission. Who do you worship? Yahweh, your loving Heavenly Father? The beast system (the Devil)? Your self? Make no mistake friends, Yahweh is about to bring some judgments upon this earth that will bring it and us to a standstill. It will only take four of the seven trumpet judgments to do it. Time to brush up on the book of Revelation again. I’m not sure if you have time to cram for this test, but you can bow before your Maker in repentance right now and begin your lifestyle of worship of our almighty Creator this moment. Why will Yahweh bring the world to a standstill? To clear our heads and hearts so we can clearly see the choices of who we are going to worship. In this coming time of desperation, will you bow before the revealed Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ, or will you bow before the Beast system, the Devil, the revealed anti-Messiah? Or are you so rebellious that you only bow to yourself? Do you believe you can discern the anti-messiah masquerading as an angel of light? He’s going to appear to save the world from total destruction. Will you be able to resist his not-so-subtle approach to proclaiming himself God? When he’s preaching peace and prosperity for all mankind, will you be able to see him for who he is? Will you recognize Yeshua for Who He is? Are you even able to recognize yourself for who you are? Time will tell, time will certainly tell.
Now that we know worship is submission, let us look again at the teaching of submission and obedience. I learned this about ten years ago. Obedience to a tyrannical system, whether civil government, religious, business, or family system, is rebellion against Yahweh. You cannot always obey a tyrant, but we are commanded to always submit to the consequences of our choices. Righteous choices will lead you to civil disobedience under a tyrannical system. To resist a tyrannical system, of whatever nature it is, is to submit to Yahweh, it is to worship Him. To worship and obey Yahweh is to resist, rebel against, and disobey a tyrannical system. To obey a tyrant is to worship the Devil himself. It is very clear in the Book of Revelation, if you can discern it. Not taking the mark of the beast is to worship Yahweh, you may be martyred and go to heaven before you had planned. Taking the mark of the beast means you worship the Devil, you will get to go to hell, without passing go and without collecting a fire retardant suit. You WILL NOT be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast system. When you are starving during the coming famine, will you be strong enough in spirit to resist taking the mark? Under the new health care law, you will be forced to pay taxes to pay for abortions. Are you going to continue to obey these tyrannical laws? Does legalizing abortion make it righteous? Does legalizing sexual perversions and lifestyles make them righteous? Does legalizing drugs make taking drugs righteous? Do you realize that drug sorcery is one sin that mankind refuses to repent of? Revelation 9:20-21, “But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21And they did not repent of their murders or their [drug] sorceries [Greek word: pharmakeia] or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” Open and read the Book. It’s in there if you care to see it. Just because something is legal, doesn’t mean it is lawful or righteous. I didn’t realize it at first that practicing civil disobedience and resistance to the tyrannical beast system was studying for the final exam. Now I know. Time will tell whether or not I have learned the right lessons. Time will tell.
This reminds me of a precious French sister in the 1700s, Huguenot protestant Marie Durand, incarcerated in the infamous Tower of Constance on the Rhone River in southern France for 38 years, just for worshiping Yahweh according to her conscience. While she and her dad were used as bait to catch her preacher brother, her dad died in her presence, and her brother was eventually caught and hung without her being released. She ministered to the inmates and used her knitting needle to scratch a reminder in her native language of Occitan into the floor of the Tower, Register – “I resist.” The word is still visible in the floor today. Marie understood the difference between submission and obedience. She could not obey the religious government’s command to worship only as the church told her to, but she willingly submitted to the consequences of her choice. She lost her worldly life, but gained a 38 year prison ministry, and a crown.
Yahweh knows I’m not very spiritually strong, that’s why He’s had me practice civil disobedience for so many years. I need to practice. Maybe you’re spiritually strong and don’t need practice. No problem, I bless you with Yah’s speed on the final test. If you do need practice, start by joining a pro-life group and do something to try to stop abortion doctors and clinics. Try it, you’ll meet some good people and learn some valuable spiritual lessons along the way. Folks, our civil government is evil. It will not arrest and execute abortion doctors and clinicians. If Christians do not lead abortion doctors and clinicians to repentance, who will? They are doomed and so is America without Yeshua HaMashiach. People of Yahweh, abortion is a blood sacrifice to demons. Make no mistake about it. Read the Book and see how Yahweh feels about his children sacrificing their children to demons. The blood of innocent babies is on the hands of every American, no exception. Maybe this is the first sin we should repent of as a nation. It’s certainly not the only one. Yahweh, please forgive us and have mercy on our souls.
