It appears that these scholars may have hinted at evidence of a 360-day solar calendar in operation, before the Kingdom of Judah was destroyed. 5 6-day weeks in a month is demonstrated as a 30-day month; 5 X 6 = 30. 12 30-day months demonstrated as a 360-day year; 12 X 30 = 360. 5 weeks per month is demonstrated as a 60-week year; 5 X 12= 60. 60 WEEKS IN A YEAR, which can also be demonstrated as 6 days a week X 60 weeks = 360-day year! That’s just mind blowing to me. And a 29.5 day lunar month just does not fit in with this evidence in any way, shape, or form.

When I read this article, my mind just exploded with ideas and questions and a possible additional answer as to why Judah was exiled for 70 years? The Bible explains that Judah was exiled because for 490 years, they refused to observe the 7^th year sabbatical year of land rest. Is it possible that in their rebellion against Yah’s law, that Israel and Judah may not only have stopped observing the 7^th year sabbatical year, did they also rebel against and STOP OBSERVING THE 7TH DAY SABBATH? That answer is pure speculation and the authors did say not to generalize to the whole society of Judah.

Many believe that the 360-day solar calendar year had to change to the current 365.25-day year when the earth was struck by a large planetary object around 700 BC. Isaiah 13:13 may have had a partial or total fulfillment around 700 BC, “Therefore, I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its orbit, by the fury of Yehowah of the heavenly armed forces, on the Day of his fierce anger.” Circa 700 BC is within the 490 years of sabbatical rebellion of Israel and Judah before Babylon took them into exile! Wow, we all need to be on our faces in repentance.

What interesting evidence and insights; a 6-day logistics week. So many donkey-loads of groceries delivered to other outposts lasted 6 days, not 7, how strange and yet how practical and efficient they were!
