Yeshua told us part of Ruach Ha’Kodesh’s mission in John 16:13,“But when he comes, the Ruach of truth will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak from himself. But he will say whatever he hears, and he will tell you things that are to come.”
Ruach will teach us truth and tell us the future. That’s pretty heavy stuff in itself, but in Ezekiel 36:26-27, Yehowah tells us another relevent purpose for Ruach who indwells us today: “I will give you a new heart (mind) and a new spirit in your innermost parts, and I will take away the heart of stone from your flesh. For I will give you a heart of flesh. 27I will set my Ruach in you and enable you to walk in my statutes and keep my decrees, so you will do them.”
Ezekiel reveals the true born from above, or born again experience. These verses reveal what a truly born again believer enlivened by Ruach Ha’Kodesh in their inner person will look like and act like. A truly born from above person will begin to walk according to Scripture, not by traditions, false doctrines, or religious precepts.
So, when you hear of a revival or attend one like what is going on in Asbury, Kentucky these days, here’s how you can tell if it’s a true revival or spiritual awakening: Are the people being led by the Ruach of Yehowah to obey, guard, keep, and do his Torah commands? Are those people leaving their Sunday-go-to-meeting churches to attend Sabbath-keeping fellowships? Or are they starting their own Sabbath-keeping Messianic congregation? Or are they helping their pastor convert their current Sunday congregation to a Sabbath-keeping Messianic congregation? Are these people repenting of their sins and turning back to Yehowah in a Torah-observant lifestyle, including Sabbath-day worship and attendance?
An Acts 2 Pentecostal experience will lead you to follow Yeshua and Yehowah in a more Scriptural Messianic manner. Ruach Ha’Kodesh will lead you out of Babylon, out of the Roman Catholic and her harlot daughter churches to a Messianic Sabbath-keeping, Torah-observant lifestyle. You will begin to follow ALL of Yehowah’s commands, statutes, and decrees that apply to you. You will no longer pick and choose which commands you will obey.
You will join the Melchizedek priesthood of Messianic believers, meaning you will begin to separate yourself from the world and its evil systems. Ruach will lead you into liberty and freedom in Yeshua and his Kingdom. You will learn to live a set-apart life, resisting evil civil government laws, resisting evil religious systems and their perverted doctrines. You will learn to follow the Messianic Apostles as they followed Messiah Yeshua. A true believer and follower of The Way of Messiah will stop following the pagan Roman calendar holidays and will learn to follow the biblical calendar. You will learn to celebrate Yehowah’s set-apart feasts and holidays on his calendar in his Way, as revealed in Leviticus 23 and 25, Exodus 31, Deuteronomy 16, and other passages.
If you see these changes taking place in a person’s life, then you will know without a doubt they have been revived and spiritually awakened by Yehowah’s precious Ruach Ha’Kodesh. Anything less than this kind of total spiritual makeover, and you will know it is or was a false revival or spiritual awakening. You could honestly say it is just a bald-faced lie happening right in a so-called Christian environment.
Here’s some more Scriptures to help you on this walk in The Way. John 14:26,“However, the Counselor, Ruach ha’Kodesh, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you everything, and he will remind you of everything that I said to you.” Ruach Ha’Kodesh will teach you the Scriptures, then he will remind you of those teachings the rest of your life. If you don’t learn the Scriptures, he’ll not be able to remind you of them.
Ezekiel 11:19-20, “I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit in them when they come near to me; I will take the stony heart from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, 20so that they will walk in my statutes, they will carry out my decrees and do them. Then they will be my people, and I will be their Divine One.” If you are not walking in Yehowah’s commandments, you’re not his people, no matter what your pastors, teachers, or elders tell you.
Ezekiel 39:29, “I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Ruach on the house of Israel,” Lord Yehowah declares.” You’ll walk in the Light as Yeshua walks in the Light. If you are born from above, you are grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel. You begin to walk like a Hebrew. You begin to walk in Yehowah’s very presence.
That Acts 2 revival was a true spiritual awakening. How do I know? It turned 3,000 lost Jews into multilingual saved, immersed Messianic Jews, in one meeting! It may have been easier for them, since they were already Sabbath-keeping, festival observing, religious Jews, but the result will be the same when your religious Sunday so-called Christian congregation gets truly born from above and makes the turn around to Torah observance, Saturday Sabbath-keeping, and follows Yehowah’s feast calendar instead of Rome’s pagan holiday calendar.
