I’m not going to get into the abortion debate today. Here’s one of the first commands from Yahuwah in the Bible: Genesis 1:28, “The Almighty blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply. Fill the earth, . . .”” So, if abortion can help humankind to obey these commands, then I’m all for abortion, but if it cannot help humankind to obey Yahuwah’s commandments, then down and out with abortion.

For many decades I have had a thought stuck in my spirit, or in the back of my mind. As much as our heavenly Father cares about children and babies, why doesn’t he mention abortion openly and plainly in the Scriptures? Well, while editing my Son Of Man Bible, I finally came across a Hebrew word that literally means abortion. It is a pearl of an extremely high price paid in the blood of multiplied millions of murdered innocents. It is Strong’s # H5309, nephel. This word is only used in the Scriptures three times. It’s base definition is abortion. Nephel comes from the root word naphal, which means to fall of violent death. Is that not a clear picture of abortion? It doesn’t really imply a miscarriage, pre-mature birth, or stillborn child. It clearly portrays violent death, such as abortions are. The Bible does speak clearly of the violent murder of unborn babies. When I discovered this word, I broke down and cried like a baby. My Father’s heart is broken over this human issue of abortion, the murder of unborn babies. It is the shedding of innocent blood that will bring down any nation, like it brought down the ancient nations of Israel and Judah.

I believe this word has been poorly interpreted and translated in most English Bibles. Kudos to the Interlinear Scripture Analyzer for using the word abortion in its English interlinear. Young’s Literal Translation uses “abortion,” and the New Jerusalem Bible uses “abortive” in Job 3:16. My Father is not afraid to speak about the murder of unborn babies. We know murderers will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. I believe we should let the Bible speak it’s basic raw Hebrew as best as we can interpret and translate it, and not candy coat the words Yahuwah has written. Below is how I translated the three passages in my Son Of Man Bible. Study the context of each of these chapters.

Job, when he was lamenting the day of his birth: Job 3:16, “Or perhaps I would have been secretly aborted, like infants that never see the light.” Do not people involved in abortions like to keep it secret? Most humans prefer to keep their murders a secret. Read all of chapter 3.

David plainly speaks of the blood of the wicked leaders of the congregation who shed the blood of the innocents, calling on the Judge of all the earth to take his vengeance for the sake of the righteous. Psalm 58:8, “Let them be like a snail that melts and passes away, like a woman’s aborted child that never sees the sunlight.” Read all of chapter 58.

Ecclesiastes 6:3-5, “If a man fathers a hundred children and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but if his heart is not satisfied with good, and he is not buried with honor, then I say that the aborted baby is better off than he is. 4Even such a baby comes in futility and passes away in darkness, and its name remains hidden. 5Although this child does not see the sun or know anything, it has rest even though that man did not.” Read all of chapter 6.

One of the reasons that I believe Yahuwah means abortion in these verses above is that if he wanted to say something like miscarriage, miscarry, or miscarried, he would have used a word like shakol, Strong’s # H7921, which means to be bereaved, make childless, or miscarry. For example in Exodus 23:26, “No woman will be barren or will miscarry her young in your land. I will give you long lives.” In your study of this subject, also take a look at Exodus 21:22-23 for another example of a possible miscarriage, possibly a forced miscarriage, which I believe would equal an abortion.

Scripture is very clear that the people of the Old Testament knew what abortion was. Jeremiah received a lot of persecution. Read all of Jeremiah chapter 20. It got so bad Jeremiah went off into a pity party like Job and started to curse the day he was born. But then look at verses 17-18, “May this happen, since Yahuwah did not kill me in the womb or make my mother my tomb, a pregnant womb forever. 18Why is it that I came out from the womb to see troubles and agony, so that my days are filled with shame?” Jeremiah poured his heart out to his heavenly Father, but it is clear that he understood the possibility of being aborted as an unborn baby. Yahuwah could have allowed Jeremiah to be aborted, but thank Yahuwah, he did not.

There is another meaning to the word nephel, it can mean untimely birth, but I believe that is not relevant to the verses we’ve looked at, because our verses portray the violent death, finality, and emptiness of abortion, not a child born out of time. It is clear in the Scriptures that we looked at, that the baby died, not that it was born. Maybe you could make an argument for a pre-mature birth that led to death, or maybe a stillborn birth, but our contexts don’t really lend themselves to those conclusions. I think a better conclusion is that these babies met an untimely death, not birth.

The Apostle Paul used a Greek word that is related to nephel. In 1 Corinthians 15:8, Paul uses the word ektroma, Strong’s # G1626, which the first meaning is abortion, but the secondary meaning is untimely birth. Paul stated in verse 8, “Last of all, he appeared to me, as if to a child born at the wrong time.” This interpretation or translation is appropriate, because if you noticed, Paul was born, not aborted, and in context, Paul is concerned with the timing of his life and ministry in world history. Ektroma, or untimely birth, is used only this one time in the entire New Testament, it was never used as the word abortion. It is the Greek word used in the Septuagint in Job 3:16 and Ecclesiastes 6:3.

This brings the total to 68 verses that I’ve found in the Son Of Man Bible that relate to shedding of innocent blood or abortion. You can literally search for the word “abortion” in my Son Of Man Bible in e-Sword, MySword, or The Word Bible programs. I include Acts 15:20, 29 and 21:25 in this list, because I believe the Apostles were talking about the practice of child sacrifice in the 1st century, either by bloodshed or suffocation. Child sacrifice continues to this day in the 21st century in the form of abortion.

An unborn child is defenseless. It cannot defend itself against the murderous intent of so-called adults. I would encourage all of you to support the National Right to Life organization in your country. The National Right to Life Committee in America can be found online at: https://www.nrlc.org All children have a right to live. No one has a right to murder them. Our heavenly Father is watching. Please pray for all unborn babies, that they will be allowed to come to full term and be born into this world, like we were allowed to do. Unborn babies’ lives matter. America is and will be judged for the murder and shedding of innocent blood. If we do not immediately repent of this sin of murdering innocent people, we as a nation will soon fall into the dustbin of history. The wicked will be forgotten as they burn in the Lake of Fire forever, the innocent righteous will live for all eternity in the presence of our Father and King, Yeshua Messiah. You may still have time to make a choice, make the right choice for life, and make it quick.
